A Long Rich History

In 1897, the Eyring family started a business in Cleveland, Ohio moving, packing, shipping and storing furnitureand pianos with a horse drawn wagon. Their customer base at the time was made up of people that were endeavoringto build businesses and develop the bustling Cleveland area into prominence at the turn of the 20th century.

From these humble beginnings, the Eyring family grew a sustainable business that would carry on for generations. Not only did they welcome the introduction of the automobile but were quick to adapt to changing transportation demands utilizing some of the first commercial trucks available.

As technology enabled larger trucks, the roadways had to grow and improve, and so did the business. The company stayed committed to excellence in moving projects large and small, but was able to expand to include long distance moves while maintaining its commitment to servicing the local market.

After over 100 years in Cleveland, we moved our office and warehouse location to Avon Lake, Ohio on Cleveland’s west side where the family legacy continues today as Edward W. Eyring, III (4th generation) and Brian E. Yarham (5th generation) lead today’s operation into the future. The Eyring Movers’ fleet of trucks can now be seen carefully delivering our next satisfied customers load in any of the 48 contiguous states.
