Can I really afford to have someone help me downsize?
Our relocation services are flexible to fit your budget. We can manage the whole job or just work on the part that is most difficult for you.
We will create a professional floor plan to help save you money by showing you clearly what you have space for in your new home and what you don’t. Otherwise, moving too many items can mean having to pay for moving those pieces additional times once you realize they don’t fit in your new space.
We can also help you to sell belongings that are no longer needed to help defray the cost of our services. The best way to get an idea of cost is to schedule a free in-home consultation. We can discuss your situation, identify where you need the most help, and design a plan that works for you and your budget.
I’m thinking about relocation, but I don’t have immediate plans. Why should I concern myself with downsizing now?
It’s less stressful to sort through household goods gradually over time than to do it hastily when you are forced to move. You can make more objective gifting and donating decisions when there is less pressure. Clearing space in your home also lessens the risk of accidents and makes it more comfortable and accessible.
It is unrealistic to expect anyone to go through possessions that took decades to accumulate in a matter of days or weeks. We can set up a schedule to work with you on a room, a closet, or a corner for 2 – 3 hours at a time.
My family can take care of everything when they come to visit. Why do I need someone else’s help?
Depending on the size of your home, they may not be able to do everything themselves. We can work together with your family and shorten their time away from their jobs and families. Additionally, though we know your belongings represent cherished memories, a caring yet neutral third party like can sometimes make the decision process around gifting or donating an easier and more objective one.
I am making a long-distance move. Can your Senior Services help me?
