Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily field operations to ensure moves run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with company standards. This role manages dispatch, scheduling, and crew support while maintaining strong customer communication and operational oversight.

The Operations Manager serves as the primary go-to person for the moving crew, partners with Sales through quote reviews, and plays a key role in upholding service excellence.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

– Dispatch & Scheduling: Manage the daily operations calendar, assign crews, and adjust schedules as needed to meet customer and business demands.
– Crew Support: Act as the primary point of contact for movers and drivers, answering questions and providing direction throughout the day.
– Uniform Management: Oversee distribution, tracking, and maintenance of company uniforms and ensure crews are properly outfitted.
– Customer Communication: Conduct confirmation calls with customers prior to moves to verify
details, answer questions, and ensure readiness.
– Job Review: Partner with sales staff to review and validate quotes for accuracy, scope, and
operational feasibility.
– Operational Leadership: Supervise and support field staff, providing guidance, accountability, and training as needed.
– Problem Solving: Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, customer concerns, and crew issues
quickly and professionally.
– Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to scheduling, dispatch, and
crew communication systems.

Requirements for the Operations Manager Position:

– 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, dispatch, or a related field (moving industry experience preferred).
– Proven leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to manage and support a team.
– Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication skills, both with customers and employees.
– Proficiency with scheduling software, calendars, and basic office technology.
– High level of problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
– Valid driver’s license required.
